There are different models of Heating gas boiler

There are different kinds of Gas Central Heating Systems that can be purchased in the market. Almost all these systems have a boiler at the core, with pipework connecting it to radiators.

Whilst we need central heating systems air conditioners are not needed in the United Kingdom and Europe because of the average temperature throughout the year. Many of us find proper heating a necessity; as a result most of the new houses being constructed today are built with a Central Heating System.

As autumn fades and chilly winds begin to blow, homeowners turn to their Gas Central Heating for warmth and comfort. Only then you can relax and feel cosy inside your home. This security in wintertime is possible only if your Gas Central Heating System is foolproof, well maintained and operating efficiently. You Gas Central Heating System must give you the feeling of confidence that it is safe, simple to use with a long life.

There are two main types of Central Heating Systems; pumped/vented and sealed systems.

The vented/pumped one is more common of the two. The pumped/vented Gas Central Heating Systems have an expansion tank and a feed. The hot water storage tank provides your home with warm water and brings heat to the radiators. Water expands when heated; this expansion is accommodated in a feed-expansion tank. It is normally placed at the highest place of the house like the loft area, taking up space. It not only heats the house, but also supplies hot water.

A lot of older homes have pumped/vented Central Heating systems.

A slightly newer, more up-to-date boiler that many people are choosing over a pumped/vented Central Heating system is a sealed system. No water tanks are needed with the sealed system. This unvented system eliminates water tanks and attic plumbing, thus giving a number of advantages.

- Frozen loft pipes are no longer a problem.

- As opposed to pumped/vented systems there is no need for maintenance work on tanks or pipes.

- Reduces the risk of leaking.

- As there are no open vents, air cannot enter into the system and so the risk of corrosion, air locks and sludge is drastically decreased.

- The mains water supply can flush the sealed system if needed.

A sealed Central Heating System is a packaged unit with all the necessary controls and safety devices. A sealed Central Heating System uses water that comes directly from the main water supply. The mains water goes straight to the sealed system.

Normal variations of pressure can be allowed in a sealed system through a pressure vessel that contains compressed gas; this is separated from the sealed system water by a diaphragm. If the pressure becomes too high in a sealed Gas Central Heating System; a safety valve will allow water to escape from the system and if the pressure drops too low a valve will open to refill the system with water.

Central Heating systems are a great way to keep your home warm, also they don’t cost you as much as the other systems would. And they provide you with much more control and choice when it comes to your heating compared to any other systems.
